Among domestic animals used for food, there are three major ones, cattle, pigs and sheep.
Sheep have a great advantage for the farmer. They not only produce meat - lamb and mutton - but they also produce wool. The fur of sheep has been used for hundreds of years to make all sorts of things. Fine clothes like those cashmere sweaters, ordinary clothes like suits and long wooly underwear, towels, blankets, rugs, mats, and in Scotland, kilts and plaids, and a whole lot more things, too.

At a recent breakfast seminar, I had the distinct pleasure of participating in a session with Dr. David Kohl, one of the world’s foremost agricultural economists. He confirmed that the future will bring opportunities based on six major concerns for safety, nutrition, homeland food security, energy conservation, and the environment.

Last fall after we came in off the lake, our Siberian Husky was sprayed by a Skunk. He got a direct hit,who want’s that in your house so I went on the Internet and found this new recipe for eliminating skunk odor, mixed it up and put on our dog and it really works, as a matter of fact he did it again just a few day’s ago and cornered a skunk under our porch, skunk 1 dog not so good!

Dear Editor,
I am writing to express my support and gratitude for a new initiative from our town’s elected officials. On Wednesday 11th April Dr. Beller and I were invited to meet with Mayor Deb Ewald, Councillors Gord Armstrong and Marilyn McAlister and Town Administrator Veldron Vogan. We were asked to give our views on any problems, concerns or issues that the clinic and our staff are faced with.

After my aunt died, my brother and his wife and I, went through her belongings and keepsakes. It was quite revealing about my aunt. She liked fine clothing. She enjoyed jewelry. She read a great deal. And she had fine taste in painting.

The sounds of spring were everywhere over the weekend.
While my neighbours, Jim and Sue Armstrong, were over sitting on my deck, we enjoyed the weather that Mother Nature had finally delivered.
The only down side of finally getting outside was that everyone’s idea of being outside comes with different things to do.
