On the night of February 1st at the Lake of the Woods Bears hockey game against Warroad I was impressed by three attitudes; the incredible support of Baudette and now Rainy River fans, the inability of the referees to control a varsity game so that the players had a safe environment in which to play and the shocking unsportsmanlike behaviour displayed when a player was given a check and/or injured.

Duane Anderson, from Winnipeg, Manitoba, has found his dog Buster. He was visitng relatives near Rainy River, when Buster disappeared on Christmas day.

It is with deep regret that the Kenora Rainy River District Community Care Access Centre Board of Directors announce that the Provincial Government Ministry of Health for Long-Term Care has decided not to appoint Mrs. Judi Gryschuk to the position as Executive Director when the corporation becomes designated.
